TCRSF Mission Statement
The Twin Cities Regional Science Fair (TCRSF) exists solely for the betterment of youth in the Twin Cities area. Our mission is to provide opportunities for interaction with mentors, discussion of project goals, presentation of ideas, and project analysis for all youth in the Twin Cities area. We strongly support under-represented groups with financial assistance, mentor involvement, and project guidance. We strive to motivate, encourage, and support all efforts by a philosophy of, "Everyone who tries is a winner."
About the Fair
Students who live in Hennepin, Ramsey, Washington, and Dakota Counties who
are in grades 6-12 are invited to participate. There are three ways for a student
to participate in the Twin Cities Regional Science Fair:
-
Participate in a school science fair and be chosen to go to the regional
fair, or
-
Participate in a Minnesota Academy of Science-Affiliated Science Club, or
-
Obtain teacher or the adult project mentor approval and recommendation if no local fair is available
to the student. You may also contact us at miscellaneous@tcrsf.org
if you have questions on entering the regional fair directly. If you contact us
directly, please provide your grade level (grade 6-12) and short description of
your project or experiment.
Student participants in the science fair can compete in the project competition
(grades 6-12) but are also welcome to and encouraged to participate in a separate paper
competition (grades 7-12).
The Twin Cities Regional Science Fair sends winning students on to the Minnesota
State Science Fair as well as the International Science and Engineering Fair
(ISEF). If you have questions about how to participate in the science fair,
please contact the fairdirector@tcrsf.org.
