Wow, what a great turn-out for astronomy day! Even though it was totally overcast and parking was a problem this year!

So I estimate maybe 275 (300?) people attended.

There was almost 200 people who went to planetarium shows. Probably 30(?) people were making rockets (~12 launched). And lots of people who just walked through. About 12 CVAS/UWEC volunteers made it happen (plus 8 students helped).

It is interesting that several people, when I asked “how did you end up at astronomy day today” answered “we went last year and enjoyed it”. So we have enough fun things that people want to do it again –rocket making, planetarium, radio telescope, Geiger counters, meteorites, spectroscopes. (This year – Moon Rocks! But no solar telescopes…).
